The main places of interest + The National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine. The Museum is a scansen, an architectural and landscape complex of all historical and ethnographic regions of Ukraine. The museum is located on the southern outskirts of Kiev, in Goloseevsky district, near the Pirogov area.
The total area of the museum is 133.5 hectares.
275 architectural exhibits of national construction of the 16th-20th centuries are located on the territory of the museum. Farmsteads with rural houses and economic buildings are formed with documentary authenticity and grouped according to the features of planning of settlements of this or that historical-ethnographic region.
The funds of the museum contain more than 70 thousand household items, works of folk art, tools of labor. The most interesting of the exhibits have the interiors of buildings.
Architecture of all regions of Ukraine is represented in the following exhibitions of the museum: "The Middle Dnieper", "Poltava and Slobozhanshchina", "Polissya", "Podillya", "South of Ukraine", "Carpathians", "Windmills", "Fairfield" and "Ukrainian village" 60s - 70s of the twentieth century ».
There are bikes rental. On the site there are a lot of restaurants and cafes of traditional ukrainian food.
