One day tour

About tour

There are few people in the world who would not know that in 1986, an explosion occurred at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, as a result of which an enormous territory of the now defunct country of the USSR was contaminated with radionuclides and the population from which it was evicted.

The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone is located one hundred and twenty kilometers to the north of the capital of Ukraine, the city of Kyiv. This area is still a carefully guarded zone with strict rules for visitors and workers who work there on the shift mode.

What attracts people to Chernobyl Exclusion Zone? - The creepy emptiness of the yawning windows of the abandoned cities and villages? -The feeling that you are on the site of the greatest man-made disaster of our time? And maybe because you understand-here thirty and a half years ago the bloodiest Empire in history gave an irreversible crack?

Being in the Zone, everyone can understand for themselves what was previously unclear. Feel what was unknown before. And for someone, the opportunity is simply interesting to spend time in the historical museum of communism in the open air.

  • Note, please, that according to the Ukrainian Law for the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, you must book your tour at least 10 working days before the date of your trip.
  • Distance from Kyiv an Chornobyl Exclusion Zone is 120 km. One way road takes 2-2,5 of hours (with a refreshment stop at a petrol station cafe).
