Kyiv funicular

Kyiv funicular - a funicular system connecting the historic Upper City and Podil district. Passes through a steep Vladimir Hill with beautiful views of the Dnipro River.
It was constructed in 1902-1905 years.
In 1958, a cardinal reconstruction of the funicular was carried out: more modern equipment was installed in the engine room, which, moreover, also ensured the complete safety of movement. And at the end of 1984, the funicular again updated.

Each year the funicular transported up to 2.8 million passengers, among which there are many tourists.
